Stainless steel bellows connection method

Stainless steel bellows usually use 304 stainless steel or 301 stainless steel as the raw material, which has good flexibility, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, wear resistance, tensile strength, water resistance, and can provide a certain shielding effect.

Stainless steel bellows connection method:

The stainless steel metal hose is generally composed of three parts: corrugated pipe, mesh sleeve and joint. The corrugated pipe is the body of the metal hose and plays a flexible role; the mesh sleeve plays the role of strengthening and shielding; the joint plays the role of connection. Different stainless steel hoses have different connection methods during use. Some are connected by welding, some are connected by mechanical clamping, and some are connected by a hybrid method. The three parts of the bellows, the mesh sleeve and the joint are connected in the form of welding, which is called the welding type; the connection in the form of mechanical clamping is called the mechanical clamping type; in addition, there is a combination of the above two methods, which is called the hybrid type. In practice, it is up to the user to choose which way to connect according to the actual requirements.

Types of stainless steel metal bellows: mainly divided into two types, one is spiral bellows; the other is annular bellows. However, whether it is a spiral or annular corrugated hose, it is a flexible pressure-resistant pipe fitting, which is usually installed in a liquid conveying system to compensate for the mutual displacement of the connecting ends of pipes or machines and equipment, absorb vibration energy, and reduce vibration. It has the functions of good flexibility, light weight, corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance, high and low temperature resistance, etc.

The so-called spiral corrugated pipe refers to a tubular shell with corrugations arranged in a spiral. There is a helix angle between two adjacent corrugations, and all corrugations can be connected by a helix.

The so-called annular bellows refers to a tubular shell with a closed annular corrugation, and the waves are formed by a series of annular corrugations. The annular corrugated pipe is formed from seamless pipe or welded pipe. Restricted by the processing method, the length of the single tube is usually shorter than that of the spiral corrugated tube. The advantages of annular bellows are good elasticity and low stiffness.
